Hi Everyone,
I'm new here and was wondering if anyone knows what effect U2's Edge uses for the lead break in "Discotheque". It's really broken and sounds a little like an insect.
Cheers,

Who's with me?
Don't you think a real time Granular Synthesis stomp box pedal would be fucking awesome?

Thu, September 15, 2005 - 1:31 AMThat's the beautiful Lovetone 'Big Cheese' fuzz. Out of production but you see them on Harmony Central and eBay from time to time. I had one for a couple years and finally sold it... I use a Z Vex Fuzz Probe now and get almost the same sound. There's a 'Cheese' setting on the BC that causes it to sound like it's about to blow, and it gets very compressed. It's an awesome fuzz. -

Wed, September 21, 2005 - 2:33 AMIt's been sooooo long since I heard the beautiful and extreme tones
that you get on an electric guitar, Miko B!!!!
Will we hear you out in the public sometime this coming year?
You are one of the most idiosyncratic and innovative guitarists I've heard
in my life. I miss your playing.
